Sumiaisten Aittatori

A direct-sales venue for local products in the village of Sumiainen, open in summer. At Aittatori you can enjoy coffee in a rural setting, admire handicrafts, and peek into the old shop museum.

Aittatori sells local products such as handicrafts, baked goods, and art. Behind them is a group of people and businesses from Sumiainen and those connected to it.

On summer mornings, baskets of fresh pulla and other treats are brought to the granary. Produce also arrives from nearby fields and gardens. You can have coffee in the atmospheric granary building or in the birch grove in the yard. If you're not in a hurry, the shop museum in the granary offers plenty to discover. The yard has also hosted poetry recitals and sing-along events accompanied by accordion.

The old granary building previously served as the warehouse of Ahlroth’s old shop. To date, Aittatorin Ahertajat ry. has organized activities in the granary for 30 years, making Aittatori one of the country’s oldest continuously operating direct-sales venues.

Aittatori is open from early June to mid-August. Exact opening hours will be announced closer to summer, for example on Aittatori’s Facebook page.
