Äänemäki is a versatile local ski hill just one kilometer from the center of Äänekoski. It offers excellent conditions for a winter day out for the whole family. Whether you're planning to ski, sled, hike, or simply enjoy a relaxing day in nature, Äänemäki sets the scene for a memorable family day.
Äänemäki is located in Central Finland, so arriving from nearby municipalities is very easy. Its central location makes visiting convenient - even on weekday evenings.
Äänemäki offers plenty to experience
Three illuminated slopes, a Snow Park with jumps and rails, and a Mini Snow Park guarantee fun for both beginners and more experienced skiers. The youngest family members have their own rope tow and a free sledding hill, where a helmet is recommended. Use of the rope tow is free of charge when accompanied by a parent and wearing a helmet. The very well-maintained, pleasantly contoured slopes suit skiers and snowboarders of all levels.
Services and activities
Äänemäki's services also include an equipment rental and a café, so you can arrive light and enjoy warm drinks between runs. The area has a lean-to with firewood, offering a great opportunity for a snack break by the campfire.
In addition to downhill skiing, there are trails around Äänemäki that are suitable for independent hiking, snowshoeing, or a winter walk.
From the observation tower, wonderful views open over Lake Keitele and Äänekoski town center, crowning your day out. On Äänemäki's slope you'll also find illuminated fitness stairs where fitness builds step by step. Please note, that the observation tower and fitness stairs are not maintained in winter!
