The remote work innovation marvel, ÄäneHub, offers spaces and tools for working and for meetings. On site you can find a business advisor, and the community manager can provide information about the facilities and activities.

ÄäneHub is a community coworking space that anyone can use, completely free! Are you a student or a remote worker whose day at home gets interrupted by the beeping washing machine or children running around nearby? At ÄäneHub you’ll find 17 quiet workstations, 2 combinable meeting rooms, and a lobby area near the kitchen suitable for both working and coffee breaks.

The ÄäneHub kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave where you can store and heat your snacks. In addition, the kitchen has ÄäneHub’s coffee maker, with coffee and oat milk in the cupboard. During your coffee break you can sit in the lobby and network with other hub members

Business Advisor Sanna Kiuru and Community Manager Ulla Aaltonen

For entrepreneurs and those interested in entrepreneurship, ÄäneHub is also an excellent place for working, networking, and finding information. At ÄäneHub you’ll find the city's business advisory services, as well as a comprehensive range of events and information about POKE’s business and working-life services. Current events can be found on ÄäneHub’s Facebook and Instagram.

On Tuesday mornings at ÄäneHub we have coffee from 9-10, when you can meet the cheerful community manager Ulla, the economic development unit’s knowledgeable business advisor as well as staff from the Northern Central Finland Vocational College. Themed mornings also feature experts from different fields and other guests. The next themed morning is 15 September., with the theme of wellbeing, and right at nine you’ll hear from business coach Tarja Huttunen, with whom we’ll discuss what helps you cope.

ÄäneHub’s operations are a development project involving Northern Central Finland Vocational College, City of Äänekoski and Regional Council of Central Finland. The project was launched in 2019.

You can charge your devices from the lobby posts.
In the lobby you can sit at a table or on stylish sofas.

ÄäneHub’s facilities are located at Poke, on the Piilola campus area, in Building G. The visiting address is Piilolantie 17, and the spaces are open on weekdays 8.00-16.00. The community manager, Ulla Aaltonen, is responsible for presenting the ÄäneHub facilities; you can contact her if you have any questions or would like her to show you around. Ulla is happy to answer questions and to welcome new hub members, so that they feel safe and welcome. You can also simply find yourself a free workspace in the Lobby, Karstu or the Offices. If the doors to the spaces are locked, you can ask the office to open them.

The meeting rooms named Järvi and Koski are also free of charge, and can be reserved through Ulla. They include a laptop, a projector and a flip chart, and each room has space for ten people.
