Kievari Summer Theater's Program Starts

Kievari Summer Theatre's programme kicks off next Saturday.
After an eventful and very long spring, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. 13.03 at 10:00 Covid-19, or more familiarly coronavirus, pulled the rug out from under all performing and presenting parties; THL banned all public events. At the Manor, this meant that the entire spring programme as planned, including the whole Summer Theatre production, was cancelled; the place fell quiet, but only for a moment.
On 04.07 at 19:00 it finally begins! Mika Eirtovaara and Jacke Björklund kick off Kievari Summer Theatre's programme.
For those who don't yet know the Kievari crew, there's a real hands-on team working behind the scenes, and in the old barn quite a commotion — and literally dust — got underway. On Kievari's yard we've seen a concrete truck, a crane truck and various things related to sandblasting. The drying up of audience flows didn't discourage us, and the corona spring was used for renovation and sprucing up for the future, and something completely new is on the way. After the long spring, it's finally time to open the doors wide. Of course, the prevailing restrictions will be followed to the letter and safety comes first. Kievari's late-summer programme includes Stand Up, Summer Theatre, Rautalanka and even gold panning, so there is surely something for everyone. Now, if ever, is the time to support local and if you have never visited Kievari, now is the moment.
