Directions: Turn from regional road 642 Äänekoski–Suolahti onto Kovalantie. Drive straight for 400 m, turn left, and continue straight until you reach the observation tower.

From the observation tower at the top of Äänemäki, impressive views open over Keitele all the way to central Äänekoski. In summer, the tower can be reached via mountain biking trails or on foot, either up the slope or partly using the fitness stairs. The first platform of the observation tower has step-free access, allowing easy entry for visitors with reduced mobility.

Äänemäki is only a short walk from Äänekoski town centre, so it’s easy to reach on foot. From the top of Äänemäki there are excellent views over Keitele and the surrounding landscape.
