Pyhäjärvi is a restored bird lake, partly surrounded by fields. There is a birdwatching tower on the shore.
Turn from Rautionmäentie onto Halttusentie, drive straight for 1 km and turn right, then drive 90 metres to the parking area.
Pyhäjärvi is a restored bird lake, partly surrounded by fields. On the lake’s shore stands a birdwatching tower for observing the area’s rich birdlife. Species include waterfowl, birds of prey, waders, and farmland birds, and the area is an especially important stopover site during spring migration.
From Sumiaiset centre, after Rautionmäki, turn left onto Halttusentie, where there are signs "Lintutorni". A path leads to the tower, partly along boardwalks. This makes the area easy to access and offers a safe route for enjoying nature and birdwatching. Pyhäjärvi welcomes visitors to explore its diverse birdlife and enjoy the peace of nature.
